Cosmetics You Use Are Safe Or Dangerous
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009The cosmetics, which may be hazardous to your health. Believe it or not, not all cosmetics are safe. Cosmetics are safe, in fact, it is difficult to find.
How can this be? Why in the world would be the cosmetics that use be dangerous? Certainly nothing we FDA regulate the use in or on our bodies to make sure that they are safe for us to use?
Unfortunately, no. Yes drugs are regulated and drug companies have to meet certain safety standards, but these standards do not apply either to cosmetic companies, or companies making products for skin care products or personal hygiene and health and beauty products.
Essentially, these companies may use any ingredient in cosmetics, regardless of whether they have already been proved safe for humans. Large, and many citizens is what they are, if there is a component that they can use in their products, which are cheaper than the alternative, it will be safe to use.
Regardless of whether the results in certain risks for users.
Here’s an example. A recent study found lead in more than 50% of large Lipsticks brands tested. Lead? Are you kidding? In our Lipsticks? Unfortunately again, it’s true. Some of the biggest names in Lipsticks contain lead.
This prompted the lead against the California legislature to legislate in Lipsticks.
Regulations on the safe cosmetics ingredients is sadly lacking in the United States. The standards are much stricter than many in Europe. So the cosmetics, which may be their daughters and may include the use of hazardous ingredients.
I have personal experience with this. My 7-year-old daughter was then due to his first concert of ballet and their use of all cosmetics for its normal and within half an hour was terrible rash across her face. We removed the cosmetics, the rash disappeared, and not immigration.
Currently, the use of safe cosmetics for her ballet recitals.
The problem is so bad that there are now entire organizations established to promote safe cosmetics and alert the public to the danger of big-brand cosmetics. And do not the cosmetics companies to change their behavior? Do they use them in the safe cosmetics ingredients? I still do not. That we do not.
One such organization is called the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. They are trying to expose many of the risk of dangerous cosmetics as possible, to try and force our government to regulate the industry and to create safe cosmetics. I run a safe Compact Cosmetics. Cosmetic companies that are ready to devote only safe cosmetics may sign a compact evidence of their involvement in the safe cosmetics.
And there is an organization called Teens Turning Green, which helps young people toward safer direct cosmetics and other products, among its objectives.
Yes, as you know if the cosmetics are used now are safe or unsafe cosmetics. There’s a way. There is a database called cosmetic safety database, and you can use them to a database search or product that you are concerned about, or the name of a company who makes them.
I just searched the Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick by way of example. On the threat from 1 to 10, 10 are the highest risk that the rate of 9 High degree of risk. I am told that the ingredients in lipstick are linked to cancer, developmental / reproductive toxicity, allergies and immunotoxicity and the whole army and other threats, including neurotoxicity and more.
Scary is not it. However, there are Cosmetics Company dedicated to making safe cosmetics and personal care products. Dedicated to the use of such ingredients as certified organic and natural ingredients that have proven to be safe before they are used. In order to set a standard of achievement for their production of high quality and safe as cosmetics and personal care cosmetics, and not just focus on profits.
There is not much, but it is not certain. And if you are worried about the safety of cosmetics, which, and maybe your daughter uses, you have to be found.
